The new tunnel in turn 1 had 18″ (some said 2′) water, but the track had it pumped out within hours.
I live directly west of Daytona in a community that was built in 1978. There are 5 miles of private paved roads thru here which have NEVER been paved. And guess what? The edge or parts of the roads are crumbling, AND, there are MANY potholes.

Re: Jr – he said he “went where they weren’t.” Kyle Petty said on TMD Wed., the reason Jr was able to get ‘where they weren’t’ was due to the larger restrictor plate. If he would have tried it last year, they would have BEEN there by the time he got there.

Did you catch the reason why Jamie signed a Big Mac box? Its cuz that’s where he and Chrissy went after he won ‘Dega – McD’s & had a Big Mac. Thus the visit to McDs.
Agree w/ Dave – best 500 since plates, and kinda like drivers in a pack. Not real fond of a driver or two pulling out to a 10-20 car lead.
I hate that Robby won’t drive the 7 all season, but glad it will be on the track. Want to pick him for Sonoma, but now w/ Ambrose, might reconsider.

I could not hear the show good enough on this pc at work for some weird reason. I could barely hear Mark and could not hear Dave at all.
I did think it was the best 500 we have seen in a long time. I was glad to see McMurray win. I wish Mark would have done better.
I was glad that found away to fix the track so that the race could continue.
