I'm with you, Dave. The racing is just not that good. Short track racing is supposed to be beating, banging and gouging to get past a slower car. I don't like seeing the two-by-two square dance racing we now have but I don't know how the track could be changed to make that happen.

Surely the economy has had a negative impact on attendance. Even so if fans were really motivated by the racing I think they'd figure out how to make it happen. I never thought I'd see the day when there were empty seats at a Bristol race but here we are. Will the all powerful Bruton Smith be able to fix it?

Ok, I enjoy the new Bristol, there is MORE side by side RACING, something the Networks fail to show. Sure the Old 36 degrees of banking were fun, but it made for a LOOOOONg night, I do NOT miss rolling in the driveway as the sun comes up, The Old Bristol you had 1 way to gain positions on Pit Road or using your bumper. I have fond memories of this coliseum, the first time coming in and setting up on Pit Road, the NOISE, how low the pit wall actually was! and most of all sliding down the banking on coolers, and also hearing the Boo's when Dale turned Texas Terry...OMG!
Sure Gas Prices are up, Hotels? I live 100 miles away so its a short drive, There are plenty of places to stay Pineola NC, Boone NC, Norht WilkesBoro...It used to be Tickets were not as expensive but it can put a crunch on a budget.
